RL Rabbitry: Raising holland ops in North Texas
This is a video of my herd buck, Carson when he was in the middle of a molt last summer. Molting is a process when the rabbit sheds dead hair and grows in a nice new coat. The severities of molt can vary due to breed, living conditions, diet and such. Brushing your rabbit regularly to remove the dead hair can help quicken the molt process. Since rabbits ingest a good amount of fur during a molt (which can cause a fur blockage and cause GI issues) some find that feeding fresh pineapple or papaya tablets help break down the fur balls.
Plus Carson looked foward to enjoying his daily pineapple chunk and looked cute consuming it so I had to get a video.
2018 Update: We should have a few litters that will be ready to leave in December
